Jürg Thomann's video: Drone Flying in Snow

@Drone Flying in Snow
Here is how I fly my DJI Phantom 4 drone during snowfall. It's not recommended but you can get some beautiful shots. To avoid any damage to the drone, I followed the following rules: KEEP THE BATTERIES WARM Therefore, I carried the batteries underneath my coat and inserted them just before flying. HOVER FOR AT LEAST 30S CLOSE TO THE GROUND to visually check whether evertything is ok. ONLY USE 50% OF THE BATTERIES Due to cold temperature, battery life may drop immediately and you want to avoid the bird going down in an akward location. WIPE THE DRONE RIGHT AFTER LANDING AND STORE IT DRY You want to avoid melting snow to get anywhere near the camera, the batteries, the motors or the electrical parts. That's it. Save Flying!
