He went on to work with Drake, Wiz Khalifa and others, while building his own career as an artist. In 2015, the Weeknd enjoyed huge success with the album Beauty Behind the Madness, which featured the hit single “Can’t Feel My Face.” Weeknd has become one of the music industry's leading alternative R&B performers. He is the son of Ethiopian immigrants but has had little contact with his father, who left the family when the Weeknd was only a toddler. His early musical influences ranged from traditional Ethiopian music to the "King of Pop," Michael Jackson. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the Weeknd specifically cited the impact of Jackson’s 1979 hit "Don’t Stop ‘til You Get Enough," describing it as "the song that helped me find my voice. It’s the reason I sing.” “Can’t Feel My Face,” which could be about a romantic experience PND PARTYNEXTDOOR Discography: Buzzin, Don't Know How, Come and See Me, Recognize, Dream Girls, Don't Do It For You No More, Muse, Break From Toronto, Over Here, Work, Sex on the Beach, Like Dat, Not Nice, With You, Wednesday Night Interlude, West District, FWU, No Feelings, Preach, Kehlani's Freestyle, Thirsty, Are You That Somebody, 647, Persian Rugs, PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO, PARTYNEXTDOOR 3, Late Night Party, PNDCOLOURS, Wus Good, Curious Party's Biography PartyNextDoor Two The persona of producer and singer Jahron Brathwaite, PartyNextDoor finds the Toronto-based artist experimenting with a fractured blend of minimal hip-hop and R&B that has drawn natural comparisons to fellow Canadians Drake and the Weeknd. The first artist signed to Drake's Warner Bros.-supported OVO Sound label, Brathwaite made his self-titled debut on the label in July 2013. A low-key release with Drake featured on one cut, it reached number 34 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. A sequel, PartyNextDoor Two, followed in July 2014 with a greater promotional push. It topped R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts and crossed into the Billboard 200 at number 19, aided by "Recognize," on which Drake once again provided an assist. PNDColours, a four-track EP, followed in December 2014. A little less than two years later, "Come and See Me," yet another Drake-enhanced track, became Brathwaite's first single to crack the Hot 100. The achievement immediately preceded the August 2016 release of his third album, titled PartyNextDoor 3 (which one might mistake as "PX3," due to its artwork). No stranger to featured appearances himself, Brathwaite has lent his vocals, songwriting, and studio skills to a handful of Drake cuts, as well as ones by the likes of Big Sean and Lil Yachty. Griffey's Bio Early approval from Timbaland and Drake boosted the career of Bryson Tiller, a contemporary R&B songwriter and singer -- a self-termed "trap soul" artist who also raps -- from Louisville, Kentucky. Tiller made waves with SoundCloud uploads like "Don't," "Break Bread," "Let 'Em Know," and "Sorry Not Sorry." "Don't," a sparse ballad, was given an official release in May 2015. Around the same time, Tiller was featured on Kam Wil's "I Want You" and Tyrant's "Lime Light." While social media activities fueled speculation regarding Tiller's affiliation with Drake's OVO Sound label, the artist opted to sign with major-label RCA, home to Tinashe and Miguel. T R A P S O U L, his debut album, was released in October 2015. Bryson Tiller Is Known For: Think About You, Don't, Sorry Not Sorry, Right My Wrongs, Let Em Know, Exchange, Fuck That Nigga, Overtime, 502 Come Up, Killer Instinct Vol. 1 (Mixtape), Intro (Difference), Rambo, Rambo (Remix), The Sequence, Been That Way, Break Bread, Shenanigans, Lessons, Till Dawn, Self Righteous, Just Another Interlude, Open Interlude (Audio) , Ten Nine Fourteen, How About Known (Freestyle), I Love Beyonce Too, Set You Free, Two Hearts Trust Issues, Don't Worry, Molly, Love Faces, Ease, Low Low, Bad Cover, Flesh, Wish You Would, Permanent, Need Someone
