1. We only speak in Korean at home (We try not to speak in English at home) 2. We speak in Korean only at home (When we're around other people, we ONLY speak English) 1. We speak in Korean with our kids because we want them to be bilingual. 2. We want to be considerate of non-Korean speakers around us and keep them from the misunderstanding that we're talking about something in secret. I think we always come back to talking about our identity as Americans with Korean ethnicity when we discuss the importance of Korean language. Now as parents, we're responsible for our two kids' cultural identity as well.
