J O's video: Copperhead s Nap

@Copperhead's Nap
From World of Reptiles Exhibit during Bronx Zoo's 4th visit in 2019 since Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019. Copperhead: 1. Scientific Name = Agkistrodon Contortrix. 2. This pit viper of the snake family lives in North America especially damp lowlands. 3. Grows up to 4 1/2 feet long. 4. Eats bugs, 🐸, small mammals, & 🐦. 5. Cousin of the rattlesnake due to heat detecting pits in its face for locating warm blooded prey. 6. Camouflages just like Lesothosaurus from South Africa during the Jurassic time period when it hides in wood & sawdust piles, abandoned farm buildings, junkyards, & old construction areas. 7. Reminds me of Sanajeh & Titanoboa from the Cretaceous time period. 8. Represents Chinese New Year of the 🐍 due to mystery. 9. Strong venom with enough power to kill a human by damaging the human's body tissue. 10. Least common to prevent habitat loss & animal cruelty. 11. Gives birth to baby copperheads known as hatchlings or snakelets instead of laying eggs. However, baby Copperheads are venomous like their parents. 12. To help Copperheads, donate to Wildlife Conservation Society at 2300 Southern Blvd in Bronx, NY 10460.
