"A Happy Ending" by Imperial Dance Orchestra (released 1929; Banner record # 6297-A). Vocals by Ralph Haines (pseudonym of Harold "Scrappy" Lambert (1901–1987). Played on a circa 1907 Swiss-made Phrynis gramophone/phonograph, model No. 10 Below is a translation of some info on Phrynis: "Jaccard John Fabricant of record players to Ste Croix, Mark(Brand): Phrynis - Esperanto 3 U Ullmann ( Odon-Phonotipia-Zonophone-Phrinis) Charles and Jacques Ullmann Cie of Paris, representing since 1899 of Zonophone for France. Their shop was situated 11 street of the Suburb Poisonniére in Paris ( 114 ). Brother Ullmann the International Talking Machines ( 115 ) company in Berlin. Also made record players with cylinder under their own name. These devices had a logo representing a swan inside a Lyre ( 116 ) From 1906, they made build their own record players with disk c/o Jaccard under the Mark(Brand) Phrynis."
