Hardcore fans were seen donning elaborate costumes, known as Cosplay, as they paid tribute to their favourite movies, television shows and comic books at the Birmingham NEC. A total of 32,000 people attended the event last year. The Incredible Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno, who starred in the 1978 series, was on hand to meet fans and sign autographs. Other special guests included actress Summer Glau, Flash Gordon actor Sam J. Jones, Adventure Time actress Hynden Walch and Star Trek actress Nichelle Nichols.
