JBMuwonge Talk Show UPDATE ON THE ILLEGAL ARRESTS Grateful to all comrades, leaders and lawyers who have spent the day trying to rescue various comrades from illegal detention. At Kasangati, four of our comrades who were picked up for allegedly wearing clothes belonging to security forces have been released on police bond. In Bundibugyo, our comrades Western Prince, Clophas Kabukarange and their driver have been released without charge. In Mbale, comrade Lwaka Ismail who was found registering our people has been charged with sabotaging government programs and released on police bond. On a sad note, comrade Battle Kay has been remanded to Bugungu Prison in Buikwe till the 29th of May. Latif Madoi is still being held at Nagalama Police - they claim that he will be arraigned before court tomorrow. Yesterday, two other comrades Matovu Vincent and Katuluntu Godfrey were charged with wearing 'uniforms declared to be for the exclusive use of persons in the armed forces, and remanded. Bukenya Joseph has also been arraigned before the City Hall Court and remanded. The caretaker at Kamwokya, Evans Bukenya is still being detained at Jinja Road Police, since Monday. We continue to demand for the release of all these our people and all political prisoners.
