GMOs ARE NOT BAD, IT'S A HIPSTER LIE! I explain how. (GMO) Genetically modified organisms. in order for any plant not to be a GMO, and maintain Heirloom, Nothing can grow within 7 miles of it (the area bee's and wind can spread pollen, of any other plant. Why? because if any pollen from any other plant touches another plant of any kind, it is in fact, Genetically modified organisms. The DNA(pollen) has just cross bread creating GMO plants, the seeds from that plant will not and can not grow the exact type of plant of its self because it was pollinated (fertilized) by a different type of plant even if it is the same category type, For example, If sweet yellow corn and sweet white Spanish corn grow and cross-pollinate, you will get a sweet off white or white and yellow mix corn. but you will not and can not get a 100% sweet yellow or 100% sweet white, the DNA has been mixed by wind or a bee thus a GMO plant will come from its seeds. You can prevent this by putting cloth bags made to protect from frost over the plant to prevent bee's and wind from cross-pollinating, but if you want it to produce, it must be pollinated and you will have to use a fine paintbrush or q tip and hand pollinate all of them your self with the exact same plant from the same seed source. So plant GMO's are not bad. The idea some chemicals are used by some mad scientists in a lab to create mutating unhealthy plants is just mith. Yes, labs cross-pollinate plants to see what kind of new mix they can get, they do this with flowers, trees, and all types of plants. Organic farms do the sam by Gaffing fruit trees so they bear more than one kind of fruit, this is so that you can have one fruit tree making 5 different fruits, why not have an apple, orange, cherries, and peaches all on one tree, at the table, you might not even know it was all from the same tree, and that's food for thought!
