Offroad ride to Peelikkunnu is an awesome experience and Ammachikkottaram or Summer Palace on the way to Peelikkunnu is another major tourist destination in Idukki.It is also one of the prominent malayalam film shooting location in Idukki.The tomb of Sufi saint Peer Muhammed, from whom Peermedu got its name, is located in Peelikkunnu, just below Peelikkunnu hill view point. The stunning views of Kuttikkanam, Mundakkayam & Peruvanthaanam from Peelikkunnu hill view point is just awesome.I initially planned to visit Panchalimedu, located 7 kms away from Kuttikkanam. But fortunately or unfortunately i got a chance to visit Peelikkunnu and the journey was memorable.
