JP Kitchen's video: Makhana Kaju Namkeen Navratri Vrat Recipe

Makhana Kaju namkeen is a crispy and yummy namkeen recipe that can be consumed during fasts. Adding dry fruits enhances the taste of this namkeen. It can be stored 2~3 days. Ingredients :- Desi Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 2 tbsp (to fry), Sabut Jeera (Cumin Seeds) - 1 tsp, Makhana (Fox Nuts or Lotus Seeds) - 100 grams (1 cup), Kaju (Cashew Nuts) - 50 grams (1/2 cup), Green Chilles - 2 (cut into thin slice), Red Chilli Powder (Kashmiri) - 1 tsp (if eat in vrat), Sendha Salt – 1 tsp, Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp, Making :- 1) To make the Masala nuts namkeen, Add 2 table spoon Desi ghee (Clarified butter) in a non stick pan. Once the ghee gets heated, add 1 tsp sabut jeera & fry it for 15~20 seconds on low flame. 2) After that add 1 bowl of Makhana (Lotus seeds) & 1/2 bowl Kaju for frying on low flame for 3~4 minutes, 3) Add slitted Green chillis for fry. 4) Add Red chilli powder 1 tea spoon (if you eat in vrat) , Sendha namak (Rock salt) 1 tea spoon or to taste, Black pepper powder 1/2 tea spoon on makhana kaju & mixed well on low flame till they become light brown. 5) Makhana Kaju namkeen for fast is done and ready to be served. 6) Transfer them on a separate bowl to serve. 7) Serve this delicious and crispy kaju makhana namkeen as it is anytime of the day.
