Hi friends, here in this video, we learn how to make Dal Makhani or Urad Rajma or Black Gram (Lentil) & Kidney Beans at home. Dal Makhani is an authentic North Indian recipe, which is undeniably the most popular recipe served in any restaurant. Dal Makhani is a bliss for all the vegetarians. Its creamy, yummy & easy to make. The best thing about this recipe is its creamy texture and a perfect blend of spices. It tastes best when served with naan, missi roti or jeera rice. Ingredients :- Black Lentil / Black Gram / Urad Dal - 1 bowl or 150 gm, Kidney Beans / Rajma - 50 gm, Bay Leaf - 2 nos, Black Cardamom - 2 nos, Cinnamon Stick - 1 inch, Cloves - 4 nos, Water - 1/2 litre, Green Chillis (slited) - 2 nos, Ginger (Juliens) - 1/2 inch pcs, Salt - To taste or 1 tsp, Cooking Oil - 2 tbsp, Butter - 1 tbsp, Onion (paste) - 2 medium size, Ginger & Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp, Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp, Red Chilli Powder (Kashmiri) - 1.5 tsp, Tomato Puree - 3 medium size, Salt -To taste or 1 tsp, Coriander Powder - 2 tsp, Amchur (Dry Mango) Powder - 1/2 tsp, Cumin Powder - 1/2 Tsp Water - 200 ml or As per ur requirement, Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp, Butter - 50 gm, Kasoori Methi (Roasted) - 1 tsp, Fresh Cream - 3 tbsp Cream aur butter garnish karne ke liye Method :- - Soaked black dal and kidney beans for approx. 8~10 hours. - In a pressure cooker add drain black gram, kidney beans, bay leaf, black cardamom, cinnamon stick, cloves, green chillis, ginger juliens, salt and water & keep it for boiling upto 5-6 whistles. - In a cooker, add oil & butter till heat and add onions paste and cook it until the onions turn brown & then add ginger garlic paste & saute till another 2 minutes, - Add turmeric powder & red chilli powder & cook for another 2 minutes. - Add Tomato puree & salt. Saute & cook till oil separate. - Add boiled dal & rest of the powder spices. Coriander Powder, Amchur Powder, Cumin Powder - Add water as per ur requirement . - Add Garam Masala & butter. Saute well & cover with lid & cook for another 15~20 minutes at low flame. - Add Kasoori methi & saute. Gas off & add fresh cream in dal & saute well. Dal Makhani is ready to be served.
