@Bangalore Hubli Jan Shatabdi Express Diesel Journey | Indian Railways
Watch an end to end diesel journey on board the 12079 Bangalore City - Hubballi Jan Shatabdi Express, from early 2019. Essentially, since the journey is from early 2019, everything in the video pertains to the then present. 12079/12080 SBC UBL Jan Shatabdi Express is a daily day train between Bengaluru and Hubballi operated by the Bangalore Division of the South Western Railway (SWR) zone of Indian Railways. The journey, powered by KJM WDP4D 40454, begins on a rather cold morning from Bangalore City, and goes through its share of scheduled halts at Yesvantpur, Tumkur, Arsikere, Birur, Chikjajur, Davangere, Harihar, Ranibennur, Haveri, and finally ends at Hubli in the afternoon. The train runs in the State of Karnataka for its entire journey and passes through all three divisions of SWR - Bangalore, Mysore, Hubli - which include the junctions Yesvantpur, Chikbanavar, Arsikere, Kadur, Birur, Chikjajur and Amaravathi Colony. National Highways crossed include Bangalore's Outer Ring Road - which is also the Mangalore Bantwal Vellore NH75, Delhi Chennai NH48 (multiple times), Tumkur Mangalore NH73 (a couple of times) and Renigunta Honnavar NH69. Karnataka State Highways crossed include Arsikere Srirangapatna KA SH7, Sammasagi Birur KA SH76 and Ekkambi Molakalmuru KA SH2. At 56:24, the train name should be read as Siddhaganga instead of the mistakenly written Siddhanganga. Although being far from the loco isn't the best place to hear the rhythmic Diesel clearly, it gives a different perspective to the journey. All of this here is just a brief and you might wanna watch the video to experience the journey for yourself. The video is best experienced when viewed at 1080p along with the use of earphones at optimal volume. Thank you for stopping by! © 2023, JagRail
