Central Indiana Bee Stream /"."\ /"."\ Share: youtube.com/jamescrouchx/live Suburban back yard bee hive security feed and more. I love to sit and watch the bees. Tune in. Watch some older footage. Watch for critters and nefarious folk? Maybe catch a swarm on video. Maybe even see the beekeeper fumbling about. Swing by the "upload" section for beekeeper action. Vibe of the Hives: 4/28/22 Found a couple capped swarm cells. Couldn't locate queen. Looked like capped brood but no eggs. Either swarmed, about to swarm or queen croaked. I shook all bees down to bottom box. Brood in middle. Queen excluder between. Super on top. WIll check in a couple days. Needs a super and/or split. 4/10/23 - Shed - 4 walls back up. Enough wood on hand to get doors on. Need another 2"x4"x12' 4/6/23 - Fiber Internet has been restored. 3/31/23 Tornadic Storm Cell took out trees which took out other shed. 3/26/23 TC1&2 Dead outs at the creek. Starved loss of queen/numbers hardly any dead inside. Plenty of fondant left. Just not enough forage in the area IMO. 3/23/23 - Fondant, Pollen Patties, Supers added to Woody and Stumpy. Gave the two hives along the fence fondant and pollen patties. The Mountain had a bit of fondant left. Enough for a few days. Raining... 3/21/23 - In hive yard around the corner a single dandelion plant was observed with 2 blooms, foraging bees and a seed pod about to pop. 3/2/23 - Ant Moat II - Fits bottom boards I made from shelf and bed slat scrap. The slats had rounded edges. I only ripped one side flat with my table saw. 3/1/23 - Hive Checked - Woody. Saw brood. Rotated boxes. Very full of nectar/honey. Super next week, maybe this weekend. 2/25/23 - Printing some Ant Motes. Cups with covers. Filled with oil to keep ants out. 2/22/23 - Tore down two dead outs in the yard. I will try to figure out queen lineage. (How good are my notes?) 2/12/23 - Checked one hive in South East Central Indiana. Very active on 50 degree day. Added Fondant Patty. 2/10/3 - The channel topped 300 subscribers for the first time. Thank you. This should be the best year so far for varied content. 1/29/23 - All the hives had good activity during the 50F degree day.. 1/18/23 - All the hives had good activity during the 50F degree day.. 1/14/23 - Wood has all been sold. Pickups whenever I guess. 1/9/23 - 3D Printing Hummingbird Feeder BEE GUARDS !!! 12/29/22 - Calling Utility Co. To remind them to remove their gear from the shed. 12/29/22 - 3D Print - Camera Tripod Quick Change Insert. 12/27/22 - Work on the storm wreckage has begun. More tree removal after 2pm 12/28 12/25/22 - Thought I would play with printers a bit. 12/23/22 - Rotten tree from adjacent property took out the bee stream barn. I was in there the day before. up in that loft area. I had quipped to a fan that I should swivel a cam around to catch a tree falling. Mwa mwa mwaaaa.. Electronics are fine. Bees are fine. Edit: Shed will not be rebuilt. 12/22/22 - Smaller hives have been topped of with fondant patties and insulation. 11/26/22 - Local yard all tucked in. Removed syrup feeders. Dropped in fondant patties. 11/7/22 - Got super off of Woody. MANY MANY BEES. Queen present with no brood. That makes sense with the big population. Of the 8 frames two had significant partial capped honey but less than 60% drawn. NEXT year I will remove them sooner. Better to have had that stored in the two brood boxes. So, I am feeding some syrup heading up to the colder spell. Stumpy is also in two boxes with feed. CP, HF, DTNT, The Mountain still have supers on. 11/3/22 - Checked some hives. QV E1 looked good. In 2 deeps. Needs one frame swapped out. Gave them half patty and a couple litters of enhanced syrup. Went to remove supers from Corner Pocket and Happy Feet. Still have nectar coming in!? I left them on hoping they would consume what isn't capped. Will check around 11/12. I did swap a nearly capped frame down in HF for a nearly empty less developed frame. Both hives were hefty in the bottom two deeps.
