I found a VHS tape with eight episodes of the 1983 NBC sitcom "Mr. Smith." The show featured an orangutan that drank a potion at a top secret government laboratory and developed heightened intelligence and the ability to talk. The show ran for 13 episodes during the fall of 1983 before it was cancelled and apparently banished from public consciousness. At the age of 5 I recorded these from TV -- so just know that sometimes you'll see commercials and poorly timed returns from commercial breaks. This is episode 9, "Mr. Smith Loses a Friend," which aired on November 11th, 1983.
