Hi Friends! Today I'm sharing with you how (and why) we have decided to change up the look of our deck (AGAIN!) If you've been apart of my channel for awhile, you may remember about two years ago when we sanded and painted this deck and to make things a little easier on ourselves, we decided we needed to redo some things. As I've mentioned before, we have 4 dogs, so my hubby and I are completely outnumbered when it comes to monitoring our pups and our 2 kiddos; we needed to add these gates on our fence to 1) keep our kids (especially our daughter) on the deck and 2) keep the dogs off of the deck when we aren't able to monitor them and control issues with mud. With the gates being installed, we also needed to fight through the two years of mud, dirt and tree sap that had stained our previous light grey deck. So my husband rented a walking sander and we decided to stain the flooring, rails and gates a beautiful rustic brown and we painted the spindles and corner bench a gorgeous mat black!
