I love finding furniture on the side of the road or when people give it to us (like this one) because... 1) IT'S FREE 2) I could sell it 3) I could work on my restoring furniture skills and not have to worry about potentially ruining a really nice/expensive piece In today's video I'm giving this end table/night stand a new look! I wanted to get away from the orange-y tones that it had before and brighten up its appearance! So I used some grey chalk paint for the base, I love chalk paint because there's really no sanding, priming or real prep work required, plus it has such good coverage. I added a little pop of contrast with the bright white drawer and the bold black hardware. For a layer of protection, I used a coat of clear matte polycrylic. Overall, I'm really happy how this piece turned out, I think with it's new look and new life, it would look perfect in a little girls room for a shabby-chic theme. I have listed this little end table on my Facebook Marketplace for $65 and the lowest I would accept for it is $50 (but hey, that's pretty great since it was given to us for free and I love spending my time painting) Let me know if you have any furniture make overs in your future!
