Hi Friends! Today I'm sharing a KICK OFF to the beautiful season of fall that is rapidly coming our way! I love when I'm able to begin bringing in a few new pieces to add to my autumn decor collection! Although I'm not hoping that the warm summer days leave quite yet, I do love decor that pulls in the cozy, comforting aspects of fall! Small touches of fall through new floral stems and a few new blankets are my favorite ways to sprinkle in fall decor and are also a budget friendly way to refresh your space for different seasons. TIP: Don't get overwhelmed with the beautiful home decor inspo photos that you can find all over Instagram or these YouTube videos that showcase a handful of new home decor items. Those inspo photos and videos are supposed to INSPIRE, not intimidate, so let them do just that; INSPIRE YOU. Just because seasonal trends change, doesn't mean that you have to purchase a whole new line of decor for every season, every year. Always remember to shop your own space first and then if you have the urge to incorporate a few new pops of color, go for it. But also don't feel less-than if you just choose to stick with the same decor as years past! I have found that I look the most forward to buying new throw blankets to spruce up my space. And when I am buying new season items, I am now trying my hardest to be intentional about my purchases; buying items that are neutral and easy to transition through different "seasonal trends". TIP: If you DO decide to give your seasonal decor a complete refresh, try listing your existing decor (the stuff that you no longer want) as a set on Facebook Marketplace or some other second hand selling platform. Chances are you won't get all of your money back, but you can make some money to help fund your new color scheme/vision.
