Japan Silhouette's video: Secret Magic of Nikko Toshogu

In 1617 the first shogun of Edo, Tokugawa Ieyasu, was given a ritual burial in Nikko and so the magnificent Tosho-gu Shrine was built in 1636 for him. When it was built, Nikko Tosho-gu Shrine was a unique and a completely new type of shrine, in terms of its luxury buildings and complicated ground design. Why and how was it built, and what was the purpose of this shrine? I would like to consider these and other questions in this Video.
