Jasmine Marin's video: OUR WEDDING DANCE ED SHEERAN-PERFECT and NEIL SEDAKA-LOVE WILL KEEP US TOGETHER

Hello!! We finally got our wedding footage so I can share our first dance with you! We had so much fun taking the dance lessons and performing it even though we had no prior dance experience! Israel and I had totally different ideas about our first dance, so we ended up each choosing a song and having our DJ mix them together. It was a nice blend of both our personalities. I chose Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” and Israel chose Neil Sedaka’s “Love Will Keep Us Together”. I must admit most people’s favorite song was the Neil Sedaka one because it was so fun and upbeat! I didn’t know how popular the Ed Sheeran song was when I chose it, I had heard it on Dancing with the Stars when Whitney Carson and Frankie Muniz performed an amazing waltz and I loved it right away but after that I heard it on the radio almost everyday so it wasn’t as unique of a choice as I was hoping for. Oh well, I still loved it! We spent about a month practicing every few days and were still trying to get it right the night before our wedding. We decided to add our own flip into the dance after finishing our lessons but that was a mistake. We practiced in regular clothes and got it down but the night before the wedding, we practiced at our hotel with a petticoat on to imitate my fluffy dress and couldn’t do it anymore. If you skip to 2:53 you can see our struggle. At least it made for some funny videos to look back on! On the wedding day, we were able to practice a couple times before guests entered the ballroom and the first time we did the flip, we heard my dress rip and had to change to the lift that you see in the video with the confetti. No one knew all that was going on and we were able to fake it well enough that it looked like we kinda knew what we were doing.
