Jason Brown's video: Perceptions of options

I usually see two types of people get into the options game or not get into the options game and they are both polar opposites.⁠ ⁠ 💁‍♀️Person 1.) Options are risky⁠ ⁠ The first persons mindset is that options are risky. This is usually the first sign that they don't understand how options work because we all use options everyday.⁠ ⁠ If you have life insurance, car insurance, home owners insurance, renters insurance... you are effectively buying monthly put options.⁠ ⁠ ❓Now how come we don't go to our insurance agent and say "hey, this is risky selling me these monthly put options" lol.... The truth is it's riskier not having the put option in case something happens.⁠ ⁠ 🤷🏾‍♂️Person 2.) I'm going to get rich off options.⁠ ⁠ While it's possible to get rich using options, options are not a lottery ticket to wealth where if you just buy the right call or put the day before some major event you'll be rich.⁠ ⁠ Most people end up the opposite of rich and 🧨 blow up their account trying to speculate and gamble 🎲.⁠ ⁠ Options are a tool to use controlled leverage and minimize risk. You can leverage controlling higher price stocks versus owning them and you can minimize risk by being limited to losing only the cost of the options as well as having the ability to make money no matter which direction the stock market is going.⁠ ⁠ The smarter you get about options, the smarter and more confident you'll get about managing your own money.⁠ *************************************** Interested In INVESTING?
