I met Pepe, who is 72 years old, and has been working as a barber for 53 years. He loves his job, and also socializing with his friends in the back of the shop. I asked him for a barbershop shave by razor, and to clean up my 'Mexican mustache'. He never even thought of using an electric barber clippers. He used a razor and a scissors. Valladolid, Mexico 🇲🇽 (Near Cancun & Playa Del Carmen) I am in the very small Yuchatan city of Valladolod, near the lost ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza. I walked this very hot city, with temperatures up to 100F/40C, until I fell in love with the old wooden barber chair a hole-in-the-wall barbershop. I immediately stopped and admired it. I had never seen one of these actually in use. I read the label on it, which says it is made by Koken, patent from 1900. The thrill of getting to sit in this chair and get a shave was exciting. I asked about the barber working here, but I was told Mañana, which means tomorrow. I came back the next day, but was told the barber went to the beach today. I came back the next day and was told he still wasn't here, and come back Mañana. But then... I got lucky. Barber Pepe started to prepare for me. He was told I had been looking for him for days, and so he decided I had been looking for him enough. This barber's real name is José González, but he is known as Pepe. Pepe also sells elixirs and herbs to keep a man strong and potent. He sold me some 'Strong Man Sexual' formula that he says works well, and has used himself.
