We do not know the nature of the emergency, or if there was an emergency at all. But residents in Borough Park, Brooklyn want an explanation for this; an NYPD Officer, driving his marked department “Smart Vehicle” onto the sidewalk Wednesday afternoon…lights and sirens blaring, at a high enough speed that he startled pedestrians…including a man who had to pull back a young girl – out of the car’s path - just in the nick of time.
