Jeffrey Lynn's video: EFE Rail SR Booster Co Co Locomotive running on Newton Broadway

Running the Bachmann EFE Rail/Kernow Model Railway Centre Southern "Booster" Co-Co locomotive with a reasonably appropriate train around Newton Broadway. These locomotives were also nicknamed "Hornbies", which Bachmann obviously don't wish to advertise! I had to adjust the wheel back-to-backs on this model before it would run reliably through a couple of the points, they were all a little overwidth straight out of the box. Also, the electrical pickups on one of the bogies required some adjustment initially. Once those tasks were done, it settled down to run nicely. It was a little stiff initially on the rolling road, but loosened up well after the requisite amount of running-in. The cab lights work with the Zimo decoder set to the 'C' specification - they can be switched from 'C' to 'D' and back again very easily to cater for logic or full-power outputs on certain auxiliaries. As can be seen, it now runs very smoothly, quietly, and reliably.
