This locomotive had been intermittently shorting, which turned out to be a loose pickup wire touching the chassis on certain curves and "humps" in the track. After fixing that and giving it a light overhaul and lubrication, this was part of the test running session. The coaches are a mix of Bachmann Mk 2A and Accurascale Mk 2B types. The Bachmann ones will have t have lights fitted to match up to the Accurascale coaches, eventually.
