I then took exported it onto aftereffects where I added light leaks, overlays, snow, animated the water and flowers. I learned a lot of new CG techniques in order to make this!! This timelapse is super super dooper sped up and a lot of parts were cut out for the sake of time and visual flow... I actually spent almost one whole week making it :P (and another week learning how to turn it into a loop animation :D) It was a tough piece because usually I am not a landscape artist, but I had lot of fun and learned a lot creating this! The theme of this painting was given to me by Foo who wanted a Korean/Japanese style house in the end of a thawing winter. I decided to go with a Hanok, Korean traditional house, in the middle of a lake :) I took a lot of inspiration from Japanese Anime backgrounds, especially from Ghibli and Makoto Shinkai's movies... maybe that's quite obvious HAHA !! :) Hope you enjoy this process video!!!
