Venus resembles earth in any ways and as a result, has been described as earth’s evil twin sister. After space explorations revealed the presence of deuterium in its atmosphere, scientists have come to believe that Venus may have been hospitable to living creatures. There are several evidences to support the scientists’ claims. Due to its close resemblance to earth, Venus may have been formed from the same bulk material to earth. Therefore, the prerequisites that support habitation on earth were also present in Venus. One of these prerequisites is water. The presence of deuterium, which is the stable form of hydrogen that makes water, proves that water existed in this planet. Due to the high temperatures from the sun, water vapor was broken down to its constituent components and hydrogen was freed into space.
