The Burning Man festival is a 30-year old tradition. It first started in 1986, when two friends burned an eight-foot statue on a beach in San Francisco. Today, the highlight of the festival is burning of a 105-feet tall statue. This year’s festival took place from August 27th to September 4th and we’re sharing some of the best photos from it with you below. In its own words, Burning Man is a “temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance.” 70,000 people went to Nevada’s Black Rock Desert last week to attend Radical Ritual.
