We've been thoughtful in preparing for your stay, considering what we have needed and wanted from our own stays at other homes. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. About our home…it is located in Big Canoe, Georgia, and there is something for everyone here to enjoy while on vacay. We have set up our home to be a mini vacation spot for ourselves and our family. We have a theater room we just upgraded this year and a beautiful pool table, along with a cornhole game on the terrace deck. Imagine this: we had a family gathering where two teenage boys with us, ages 16 and 19, did not pick up their phones for 7 hours! Can you imagine a teenager not having the urge to pick up a phone for 2 or 3 hours, let alone 7?! It happened here and I think we may report this incident as a modern-day miracle 😊 All kidding aside, I truly do believe Jeff and I have designed something pretty magical here in Big Canoe. BIG CANOE GEORGIA AIRBNB Our property backs to the Upper Falls Hiking Trail and Jeep Trail so if you feel like hiking downhill to the wellness center and jumping right into the natural water rockslide, go for it! Bringing your Jeep or other 4x4, drive it up the Jeep Trail and exit at the street above our home. Big Canoe has 3 pools; one that is indoor and open year-round, two outdoor pools that are open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Swim Club pool sits on a lake and included in a day pass (about $10 per person, per day) is the use of SUP, paddle boats, canoes, and a floating play gym for kids. BIG CANOE GEORGIA AIRBNB Golf courses here are beautifully maintained. Fees vary depending on the season. If you are interested in golfing, you’ll go to the Golf Club located next to the Clubhouse where they will review the fees and set you up with whatever you need. There is a café/ lunch counter at the golf center and if you want something more than a hotdog or sandwich, the Black Bear Pub is open for lunch pretty late, and dinner. Sports enthusiasts! We have outdoor basketball and tennis courts, and a Bocce Ball field. In the Wellness Center, you’ll find racquet ball and an indoor tennis court. The wellness center has a full gym and aerobics/ yoga room. A little about us…. we met in 2015 and had agreed immediately on two things we never wanted to do again; buy a house and get married. So naturally we did both! Ha! Jeff and I have grown this beautiful relationship between us and when you stay in our home, we promise you a peaceful and loving atmosphere. Come and stay a while. Get out and explore some of the 20 miles of hiking trails we have or kick back in the theater room, start up the barbeque, and put on a great movie or some shows to binge. Oh, and don’t forget to go Eagle Watching. We have a couple who have hatched eaglets on Eagle Island, and you can catch them perched high on top of the tallest trees with the naked eye. They’re majestic and inspiring to see in their natural habitat.
