To be successful in sales there are many requirements. 2 of the most pronounced yet often overlooked is the the ability to self analyze your own performance and having "thick skin" to deal with not just customers but critique from multiple sources. If you can't self analyze how can you ever improve? Yet, there are scores of sales people who simply don;t have the skill set. You also have to be able to accept criticism and be able to synthesize it into improved performance.
