First look at Ripple Energy Kirk Hill wind turbine blades. An exciting moment for all Kirk Hill members. Here are the first photos of our turbine blades. Each blade is over 44M long. The serrations you see on the trailing edges help to reduce turbulence as the high-pressure air on the front meets the low-pressure air on the back; this both improves performance and reduces noise. The curved tip to the blade is for similar reasons, and acts in the same way to winglets that you see on some commercial aircraft. Photos and text copyright Ripple Energy 2022.
