John Tisbury's video: Our New Front Door is Passive House Rated

In this video I’m going to take you through our new front door! Literally… Our old front door dates back to when the house was built back in 2001. The door was getting on a bit and cosmetically it needed a paint and general spruce up, however structurally the door was okay. But why did we decide to change it rather than simply paint it? The door we chose has a U rating 0.72 W/m2K. The door has a flush interior and exterior which means there are no visible hinges. It is triple glazed. The door and frame is 75mm thick. The external noise reduction from the triple glazing and insulation of the door is very impressive. On windy days you don't feel or hear the wind. We are looking forward to the winter now as the hallway will be a lot warmer and draught free. Our old gas boiler has broken what to replace it with?
