Repentance of sin is necessary BEFORE salvation. True Christians can fall away if they return to their old ways. Mankind has free will, and their choices will determine their eternal future. The gifts have NOT ceased, but groups like the NAR are still heretical. God can suspend or null free will to accomplish His purposes.
