Ep. , "Lion vs. Lion", aka "Roar of the Lion", starring Wang Yu, Lo Mang and Wang Lung Wei. Swamped again with work, I needed to get another installment out of the way quick as I could. This one features "auteur" work - acting, stunts, writing, and direction - from two of the great choreographers in the game, Hsu Hsia and Chien Yueh Sheng (the latter playing the apparently toothless Qing inspector). Several fight scenes naturally are excellent, including a genuinely amusing lion dance sequence. Where the flick suffers - besides the dub, 'course - is Wang Yu doing his annoying "con man" schtick again (which really only worked in "Dirty Ho"), the usual mugging comedy they must have loved out in China, and the almost total non-sequitur ending. Like it or not.
