JoseBronxRican's video: SNATCHER North America Pilot Disk 25th Anniversary Fan Video

@SNATCHER "North America Pilot Disk" 25th Anniversary Fan Video
SPOILER ALERTS abound; a warning to those who still have the nerve to expect otherwise after a generation. This is the first step in a personal "mega-project" of mine: paying tribute to Hideo Kojima's "Cyberpunk Adventure Snatcher", and especially its soundtrack, which started as one of the Konami Kukeiha Club's early 'chiptune' masterpieces. The main focus will be an album project, started at OverClocked ReMix, that will offer arrangements of the music designed to emulate the score to a major motion picture. However, I hope to have surrounding ventures, including MIDI renditions of the music, a mastered/restored original music collection, and fan videos like this one, celebrating exactly 25 years since the original PC-88 game's release. This particular clip was an experiment in whether I could recreate the PC Engine Super CD's "Snatcher Pilot Disk" video (watch here and compare: watch?v=aGI5v4KLQpw) as an imaginary "Sega CD release" for North American gamers, with all-English dialogue (matching the Japanese dialogue in the Pilot Disk) and footage from the actual Sega CD game. I surprised myself with what I could manage. Using complicated editing techniques, I was able to isolate nearly all the dialogue and additional music needed from the original game's Redbook audio, especially the 'holy grail' of "Snatcher" music (albeit in mono sound), the Random Hajile BGM heard mostly at the end of Act 1. Faintly audible artifacts occur wherever I wasn't completely successful. All that was in addition to the music taken from the "Snatcher: Zoom Tracks" arrangement album and PCM dialogue extracted from the game. Special editing was done to some footage, and also with some text and titles in order to emulate authentic Sega CD graphics. Certain liberties were taken with dialogue during the scene with the 'junked' snatcher at JUNKER HQ, because the English didn't really match at that point, and an exact result would sound terribly out of context. Please enjoy.
