Josh Keogh's video: CLIMBING the LIMESTONE PEAKS of Tam Coc in Ninh Binh Vietnam

@CLIMBING the LIMESTONE PEAKS of Tam Coc in Ninh Binh, Vietnam
Climbing the Limestone Peaks for an epic view after experiencing the Mua Caves and Trang An boat tour in Ninh Binh, Vietnam. As we were heading closer to the north and our Vietnam trip was coming close to finishing, the next stop was one that I had been looking forward to for weeks - The Limestone peaks and lush rice fields of Ninh Binh. We spent the first day checking out Mua Caves, a Pagoda and Dragon Statue perched right on top of a Limestone Peak. It was created in 2000 t drive more tourism into Tam Coc, Ninh Binh. This means it can be quite crowded and full of tourists but it does give you an incredible view over Tam Coc, Trang An and the Limestone Giants the surround it. If you are daring enough you can even climb your way to the end of the dragon for a more unique viewing experience, which of course I couldn't turn down. Unfortunately the weather turned bad so we decided to head home and call it a day. On the second day in Ninh Binh we decided to go against our own rules and spend the day on a guided tour, the Trang An boat tour to be exact. This roughly two to three hour long tour scattered in boats and life jackets takes you down the Sao Khe river, past beautiful pagodas and tight caves that the boat can just about squeeze through. The particular tour that we chose also ended in the movie set of Kong: Skull Island which was a nice little bonus! Considering the tour was so cheap at just 200,000VND I would definitely recommend it, just be prepared for it to be flooded with tourists and bright yellow life jackets. To end the day we decided to go check out the Bich Dong Pagoda, the smaller of the two we had to choose from. In all honesty it was hard to tell where the actually pagoda was but we think it was the tiny shrine at the end of the path. We were slightly underwhelmed so we decided to create our own adventure and climb the Limestone Peak behind the pagoda to get a unique view that only a small amount of people would experience. We managed to get right to the top of the peak after around a thirty minute climb and were rewarded by an incredible view right over Tam Coc just as the sun was setting. This video will show you what to expect and everything you need to know about the Mua Caves, Trang An Boat Tour and the Limestone Peaks of Ninh Binh, Vietnam - show you the experience, tell you all the relevant information and serve as a rough guide so you know what to do when you arrive in Ninh Binh, Vietnam.
