Not only is the rest of the 1968 album "Begin" just as great as this tune, it was only the second album ever recorded to 16-track tape (after S&G's "Bookends"), and the most expensive ever made at the time. But it wasn't commercially successful and has largely faded into obscurity. Drum mics: sE2200 (kick out) Vanguard V13 (Overhead), sE VR2 (room) Preamps used were a Warm Audio WA73-EQ and an ART Pro MPA II unless otherwise noted. Interface is a Zoom UAC-8. Mixed in Pro Tools. Additional mix consulting from Sam Dorrance, the guru. Filmed on a Canon EOS R with a 24-90 f/4 lens and a piece of nylon stocking over it. A kaleidoscope filter was also used. Josh now tours internationally in support of his own original music, as well as with long-time collaborator Carson McKee, as the folk duo The Other Favorites. In 2019, Josh released As Good a Place as Any, his first full-length album of original music.
