Joshua Naterman's video: Low Tech Intervals : Get ripped on a budget

@Low Tech Intervals : Get ripped on a budget!
I was so impressed with how well these work that I decided to make a video. I've kept it short and sweet, showing the two methods of sled pulling that I combine together and I explain how to make this thing at the end. It costs practically nothing. I have had a massively terrible diet for the past few weeks, starting with a cookie dough binge and continuing with a cheese block diet for a few days. Finally I got blindsided by a gallon+ jug full of animal crackers at 3 AM and they held me down and forced me to eat them all! So you should be able to tell that I am not as lean as I was in my last video about the straddle planche! These intervals are much easier on the joints than sprints on a track, so they are IDEAL to use if you have shin splints so that you can rehab yourself without losing your interval work! Suggested interval schemes are 6-8 sets of 20-30s pulls and 60-90s rests. I suggest going for 60s rests for as many sets as you can. You CAN do 60s sprints and 120s rests but thats F-ing hard and this tire is honestly too heavy for that to be practical. You can also do tabata protocols (20s sprints with 10s rests) and you will be 100% A-sploded in 5 minutes. Whatever you do, have fun and mix it up sometimes! Why this works so well: Rubber has a very high coefficient of static and kinetic friction on concrete and asphalt so you will be working with about 80% of the actual weight of the tire + whatever you have on it. This is a LOT harder than a prowler on concrete, steel simply slides much more easily than rubber. As a result you don't get much of any momentum to aid you and make things easier with the tire, which gives a fantastic workout. Soon I will show off my low tech attachment to allow prowler-style pushing of the sled as well, you'll be surprised at how easy it is to set up and how cheap it is to make.
