THE END OF THE BEAUTY BLENDER | Short Film | Judy Neptune This kinda short film is very close to my heart. Since I went to uni, I suffered from having pimples and mild acne on my forehead. Whenever my skin would clear up, a couple of days later it was filled with clogged pores and inflamed pimples again. I started to use more and more makeup, to cover my unclear skin. Then I switched to developing a scincare routine, with a lot of exfoliating products and masks, but it never truly worked. I even tried to change my diet and started working out and spending money on supplements. But it never worked, I was not able to get clear skin. But then one day, my mom used my beauty blender (wet make up sponge) and got a pimple on her face! Even though she has the clearest skin of all the people I know. She told me, it was because of my beauty blender, but I didn't believe her at first. After a bit of thinking I realized, that whenever you put water in your homemade face creams, it becomes the perfect growing medium for any kind of mold or bacteria. And the beauty blender is really never truly dry. I ditched my wet make up sponge and a miracle happened. A couple of days later no new pimples would form. My pores would still clog up, but I didn't get new inflamed spots. Finally, after 5 years, I regained healthy looking skin with an even texture. I started to use less and less makeup and now finally feel free.
