Shingles is a recurrence of childhood chickenpox. The virus resurfaces from deep nerve roots causing extremely painful blisters on one side of the body, on the head or torso. I went to the ER and was diagnosed with this and am presently in my 5th day. It's still getting progressively worse. Shingles typically lasts 3 to 5 weeks and can take 30 days to resolve. Shingles is giving me a headache from hell and the sores feel like burning. I'm also very fatigued.
