Hi, everyone! I’m back with my summer botanical series, and I’m doing my new fave royal icing flower – the tropical hibiscus. As with all of my other flowers in this series, these hibiscus are comprised completely of individually handpiped royal icing parts that are contoured and airbrushed, one by one, and then pieced together to create the final dimensional creation shown in this video. These piecework royal icing projects, by their very nature, take a lot of time. But they are always so rewarding when done. You’ll not only test your piping prowess, you’ll also end up with a stunning one-of-a-kind gift for a special someone!
