Julian Thurgood's video: The Aberdonian - 8 August 2019 - 60163 Tornado - Edinburgh and The Forth Bridge

@'The Aberdonian' - 8 August 2019 - 60163 'Tornado' - Edinburgh and The Forth Bridge
On thursday 8th August I travelled on the 2nd Aberdonian tour from Edinburgh to Aberdeen, via the Forth Bridge, Fife coast, Ladybank, then back to Perth to cross the River Tay as Tornado was not allowed on the Tay Bridge (as we don't want it collapsing again!). The stewards were strict about no poking anything, even cameras, through the windows and as we travelled north across the Forth Bridge I was made to close the window. The video here is Tornado arriving at Edinburgh (late due to the floods closing the line between Linlithgow and Edinburgh), then returning across the Forth Bridge in twilight with the floodlights lighting up the smoke/steam. A good day out! The Forth Bridge is 8094 feet (1.6 miles) long. Last time I crossed it with Tornado was the day the Bridge was declared a World Heritage Site, and Tornado stopped on the bridge while the announcement was made.
