Today's 'Cumbrian Mountain Express' came from Crewe to Carlisle and back, steam hauled (with diesel assistance due to perceived fire risk) by LNER A3 Class 4-6-2 no 60103 'Flying Scotsman' between Carnforth and Carlisle north via Shap, and south via Settle to Preston. This video is taken at Carlisle showing various comings and goings. All the platform ends were blocked off to stop access to the best photo locations!
