To mark the return to action of LMS ‘Jubilee’ Class locomotive no. 45596 ‘Bahamas’, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, in collaboration with the Bahamas Locomotive Society, gave us the second mainline run of the locomotive since overhaul, from their terminus at Oxenhope for a journey over the Settle & Carlisle Railway to Carlisle and back. The tour is seen here going north at Selside, the southbound at Langwathby. Not a good effort this week - I arrived late and the train arrived early - so I junped out of the car - did a handheld shot, slipped in the mud and tried to recover. Then at Langwathby the light was poor, my chosen location was full of lambs, and after carefully leveling the tripod - it sank in the mud hence the strange ending!
