I was considering this before any recent drama. It is a result an amalgam of contributing factors, including: YouTubes disregard for the community. I do not blame Damien, although I think his official position should be renamed: Press Secretary. "Management" has chosen to dismiss issues important to consistitant users, and creators of original content. They have also created a separate set of rules for partners, while wielding an iron fist on the average user. This MAY become evident to them when the children that dominate this site move on, to content that is less restrictive, and more risque than what they find here. Their inability or lack of willingness to promote talented people and people that inspire thought. (For some examples, check the links in my 777 vid) YT seems hell-bent on becoming the Playstation 3 of video sharing. Well known, and demolished by smarter, slicker, more fun options. Also: Making a variety of video types has built an eclectic subscriber base. With such a diverse group of people, I constantly feel the need to appeal to thier particular interest, whether that be rants, religion, politics, socioeconomics, art, YouTube, comedy, sports, or anything else that had inspired their subscription. In a effort to balance this, and make everyone happy, I felt it was necesary to make lighthearted videos when I was in a mood to vent, or vice-versa. I also became increasingly aware of an expectation that my videos be reasonable, rational, and carefully worded. In a effort to meet this expectation, I chose not to post, on many subjects. I used this for an outlet, and taking the emotion, or human element, out would deafeat the purpose of said post. I thought the creation of another channel would allow me the freedom to express myself without reservation, but found that was not the case. Given these circumstances, among others, I feel that it is best that I step away. I am not returning e-mails, at this time. Please respect this, and allow me some space. This was not an easy decision, and if I choose to post, at a later date, it will be of my own accord, on my own terms. Thank you, for your understanding. I'll still be watching. -Allen
