Following the shooting, responding Department members viewed video from a nearby business and identified the shooter’s vehicle. OEMC (Office of Emergency Management) dispatchers then broadcast the description and units in the area began to look for the vehicle. Officers located and began to converge on the suspected vehicle. Two officers then approached the vehicle, while giving verbal commands. The individual driving the suspected vehicle began to flee and one officer discharged their firearm, without striking the subject, who fled the scene.
