People say that you don't want to wash for a while when you first get them, but I washed them after like 2 or 3 weeks of having them. Washing helps them lock faster. 2. Try to retwist every 4-8 weeks. It's not good to retwist too much because it'll cause your hair to thin. 3. Try to avoid beeswax. I used it for the first 3 months, but after that, I stopped because it caused buildup and made my hair too greasy. 4. Cover your hair at night to prevent lint from getting in it. 5. Avoid messing with your hair when it's budding because that can undo the locking that your hair is trying to do.
