Justin “Smash” Skinner's video: Quick Clearview Goggle Modual test read description

@Quick Clearview Goggle Modual test (read description)
Got my goggle receiver in yesterday with enough light left for one quick test. Went about 1200 feet before I failsafed and lost 99% of video at nearly the same time. Turns out I had gone around the bend and lost direct line of sight with land in between the quad and me. I say 99% of the video because I could still see the outline of the tree I crashed in front of in the static, like the Clearview was trying to give me an image. Flew further in this area than I ever have with the laforge or true d. Tho I’ll have to test both of those now for science! It’s raining the rest of the week so it’ll have to wait. Sub on youtube to catch the full review when the weather clears: http://youtube.com/c/itwillbefun When I first take off and go right, as I near the road/bridge area I actually have land mass in between the drone and I and usually I can’t go in that area with my true-d. So overall I’m impressed and excited! I much prefer it getting grainy rather than glitching out on me. I ran two RHCP Strix Hoot Antennas and 200mw. The fan was quiet, unlike a video being shared where the fan is obnoxious. So he must have a bad unit. Easy install. Worth $300? Up to you... But the quickest way to kill my confidence while flying is to have bad video. Sight = confidence = better performance. Worth it to me if it performs. ——————————————————— Updates based on your questions: - My dvr from the goggles always looks worse than then the actual feed I see. It looks the same as my true d as far as color and such. Fatshark dvr just never looks good on my goggles. - ifron states that this unit is less power hungry than our usual diversity units.
