Justine Dion's video: RSMV - Snuff

@RSMV - Snuff
RSMV - Snuff - Slipknot Credits Song: Something In the Water - Brooke Fraser Explanation: Slipknot is a band I'm not quite into. To be honest, this is the only song I actually like from them. Besides "Before I Forget" - The only reason I like that song was because editor "a1chrisryan1a" created the song into an RSMV sometime ago and I was in love with the video. Returning to the song, I really enjoyed listening the song for how it affected me emotionally during the time I had started. So like all my RSMV's, I decided to make the song into an RSMV because of its affect on me. I decided to do the ENTIRE video without any lyrics except for one scene for a reason, this reason I will not expose to my viewers *further explained in "Behind Snuff" section of description. Regardless of whether you like the song/video, at least give the meaning some thought. Behind Snuff: I started this video early in the summer of 2010. At first I planned on this video being only me editing it but with school and life being so busy I couldn't bare to finish the rest of the video I still had left. So, two of my friends helped me out to complete the video before Christmas. It wouldn't have been completed for probably another two more months if Gabe and Adam wouldn't have lent me a helping hand in the completing of the project. I think they did a fantastic job with how much I pressured them into finishing it. While planning out the video I decided to make the video without lyrics (besides the one scene) because it's something that isn't done very often and it's always good to mix and match. Another thing I would just like to point out is that I'm not trying to "change" the community in anyway by doing this RSMV with no lyrics I just thought it was a fun idea. Also, I was trying to challenge myself to be more creative and literal with each scene rather than just filling up the timeline on my video with scenes and lyrics that don't even match up. Although a few of the scenes in the video weren't quite to par with the lyrics I did my best and it's hard coming up with the ideas. The last scene in the video is a powerful scene if you understand why I included it, I will not expose why at this time. If you're someone like me who analyzes the small details you'll notice that in the video they're several different storylines/plots within the scenes. At first I thought I should mention the one's I purposely put in or that Gabe/Adam put in but I think that it should be open for interpretation. If you feel up too it, please take the time to comment on a few of the storylines you noticed in the video and what you think they mean. *Please include the timeframe you found the part in*. The entire video was actually meant to be recorded with the Orb of Oculus except for the one scene on purpose. But because I had help it wasn't. If you look though all of my parts are recorded with the Orb of Oculus! Except for one scene. I did this to yet again highlight the one scene's importance in the video. Special Thanks: For the awesome introduction: http://www.youtube.com/user/Seltora For helping me finish the video: http://www.youtube.com/user/alchemy510 http://www.youtube.com/user/matixpuls3 http://www.youtube.com/user/girochen Inspiration: So this is a new instalment into my description for video's. The main reason I want to add this in is to credit those people who gave me idea's and indirect tips for making the video's. -FTWProdz: He actually introduced me to the song by making a video for it. -Girochen: Danny I loved your guitar scenes in "When the Lights Are Down". They inspired me to use "Motion blur" and different panning techniques. -99thHybr1d: Your panning and cropping abilities amaze me. Also thanks for the coloring settings you gave me a while back, they really helped a lot. -DarkeningDays: I loved your video that was all still images, it kind of inspired me to do the no lyrics. -Furious3lf: Wouter! I love your editing your one of the best editors in my eyes. Thanks for showing me those new effects and just for inspiring me throughout the entire video.
