Tangled the Series honestly has so many bangers, I don't know why the show isn't more mainstream. I had such a fun time turning this song into a solo! Unlike the other rewrites I've done, it's not as simple as changing lyrics or adding another verse - I reused musical motifs from other songs because I thought they really fit so well into this song, and even added an original bit in the middle! I hope you guys like my version! I realise that I've sung my version a bit sadder / more tired than Cass in the original where she's duetting with Varian, but I feel like it fit more as a solo, especially with the incorporation of her lines with the soft acoustic guitar in the backing track at the beginning. It gives her more of an emotional journey throughout the song, so it turns into a rockin' power ballad that showcases her hardening her own feelings against Rapunzel and her former friends. Also!!!!!
