K2M Photography's video: Merrick FD Working Fire Merrick Road 7-28-19

On the morning of Sunday, July 28th, 2019 the Merrick Fire Department was called to a rubbish fire at the Town of Hempstead sanitation yard off Merrick Road. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with a large volume of fire inside one of the buildings on the property. The fire building, approximately 200 x 200 in size, had a variety of contents burning resulting in a large column of smoke visible for miles. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid notified. Among the departments called for mutual aid were Freeport, North Merrick, Bellmore, and Roosevelt. All fire department units were under the command of Merrick First Assistant Chief Scolieri [6401].
